We have 3 bridges in our layout to cross the river. On the right hand side there are two separate bridges, one for the railway and one for the motorway. On the left hand side we have a combined bridge where the train and the road cross cross the river and each other at the same time. This last situation has been taken from the original, directly before the station of Campocologno. The only concession we made is the tunnel at one end of the bridge, that doesn't exist in reality.

Creating a bridge from plaster

The bridge shown here has been made from plaster. We made a polystyrene foam mold in the existing landscape and poured the plaster into it. This is just as real as the original, first the landscape and then you create the bridge in it.
